I'll provide a more detailed write-up later on this week (after I get all the stats together from the weekend!); but .. first up .. congratulations to Sam Romeo for winning the Open this year.
He was absolutely solid the entire weekend, and showed his experience where it counted. Changing lane conditions didn't appear to affect him (well, we didn't hear anything from HIM that they did!), and despite a number of other bowlers challenging for the top spot throughout the tournament, Sam weathered it all.
Well done Sam; only the second 3-time winner of the event (after Terry Wenban's 4 wins in '92, '93, '94, and '96).
