Similar format as the past...bowl 3 sets of 3.... take top 28, plus top 4 locals (but this time is will be two locals based on series, two locals based on high game?).

Then pinfall drop, bowl 8 more, cut to 15 plus 1 local, bowl 8 more cut to 8. Then 8 games match play, 10 pins bonus, cut to top 3.

No oil pattern up yet, keep checking.

So... Who's going?

Day 4 or 5? and the cut to 28 is already 212. A lot of days left and it already looks like the cut will just keep moving up... I'd guess 238 by the time it's done with.

That's why I don't like unlimited re-entry bowling tournies. So I decided to just stay in the USA. Doing a PBA NW regional this weekend, wish me luck.

Cut to 28 is up to 221.

Ahmed Shaheen arrived and shot a nice 823, 687, 667.

So... any Aussie's going to try to go and chase the cut number here in the last week of the Bahrain Open?

As far as my touney in the USA...NW PBA regional... I sucked... high game was 214 in game 7 ( of 8 )... was my only 200 game too... Good news is I made all my single pin spare... bad news is I didn't leave too many of them... lots of 3-6-7-10's though. Finished tied 43/44 out of 47.

2005 Bahrain Open - Frawls is there

Looks like Frawls is competing... but then again, isn't he Kuwait's coach or something.

Geez look at those scores... don't think I have seen them that high in the 5 years or so I have known about this tourney. Cut to 28 is 236 average...2 more days left of the 1st round.

Looks like Frawls is the cut @ 242.... if the standings are updated... today (the 31st) is the last day of qualifying... let's see if he holds on to that spot (they are taking top 28, plus top two locals outside the 28, plus 2 from a one game desperado squad... new this year for that tourny). The next round should be tomorrow.
