2002 Nationals Payout (adult)

Hi all,

Just letting you know that i spoke to Debbie from tba head office on Friday 20th Dec, and she said that cheques are being sent today (fri 20th) so people should be receiving cheques from them before xmas.

Mark Foster

All i can say is.....

MAAAAAAAAGNIFICENT.........

Good on you TBA. You are improving all the time.

Keep up the good work.

We are just a little curious :? as to just how far down the payouts are being made for...both of us scored a 3rd placing in the teams events, and the mailman has already been today, and we didn't get a cheque!!!!
Considering that the event prices all rose for this years Nationals, and are bound to be higher again in 2003, a standard needs to be set in exactly what gets paid, so that all competitors know the score before they bowl...(not that we are in it for the money....lol)

According to the entry form :

PRIZE FUND - Trophies, medallions, shirts, awards and any other
prizes will be purchased from the total prize fund in each event. The
prize fund distributed in cash or cheque, will be the balance
remaining after purchases have been made and will be paid in the
ratio of one (1) prize for every ten (10) entries, except in All Events
where the ratio will be one (1) prize for every twenty (20) entries.

If you finished up 3rd then to cash there would have had to of been 21+ entries.

For example: 10 Entries or less – 1st place only. 11-20 Entries 1st & 2nd place only. 21-30 Entries 1st, 2nd & 3rd places only. 31-40 Entries 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th places only. 41-50 Entries 1st, 2nd, 3rd , 4th & 5th places only.
Over 51 Entries 1st, 2nd, 3rd , 4th, 5th & 6th places only.

from the first bit you say to get a 3rd place there has to be at least 30. Then you say in the breakdown at least 21.

Wouldnt the breakdown be :
1-19 entries .. 1st place only ..
20-29 entries 1st and 2nd only
30-39 1st 2nd and 3rd only

Just checking ...

It's a bit hard to get a check in the mail, but I did get a cheque.

Pedro / Thai Tiffany ..

Maybe stick to one login and username .. that could help.

After reading Thai Tiffanys previous posts it all makes sense.

MERRY XMAS AND A HO HO HO

WELLLLLL, is it true? Is it correct to say that "Pedro" and "Thai Tiffany" are the same person? Surely that can't be good, when a TBA representative makes comments in the way "Thai Tiffany" has.

Guys, Guys, Guys . . . you really need to check your FACTS before you start making rash assumptions or statements like this.

I know that this sport, and in particular some visitors to this site, have some major problems with FACTS, but here’s a couple to dash your earlier statement.

1. My real, and only, identity is not hidden on this site.
2. I did not cash at this year’s nationals.
3. You will not find my name in the top 3 of any of the results from 2003 Nationals.
4. My SOHO network topography includes 4 computers, each accessible to the Net via a proxy server.
5. The IP address revealed to the moderators, through this system, will be the same for each computer.
6. Everyone of my family, are all bowlers, have access to these and quite often access the Net simultaneously.
7. They all frequent this website, and quite often simultaneously.
8. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, after all aren’t we all individuals.
9. My family’s opinion does not necessarily reflect that of my own.
10. My postings on this site deal with FACTS (TBA calendars, entry forms and announcements, etc.) nothing more nothing less.
11. My postings, on this site, is something that I do not have to do as all these same FACTS are available at the TBA website.
12. I chose to do this to cater for the 1% of the nations bowlers that frequent this website.
13. The method in which I post these FACTS (item 7) is at Graham's request, so that those same visitors will remain active at totalbowling.
14. You might be bored with the posting of these FACTS (item 7), but if your view counter is correct, then your users certainly are not.
15. I make no commercial gain from doing this.
16. Graham's post is an infringement of his own terms of agreement. “You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any applicable laws.”

In summary, I have two words for you. I will list and define them for you.

libel \'li-bel\ n
a. a written or oral defamatory statement or representation that conveys an unjustly unfavourable impression
b. a statement or representation published without just cause and tending to expose another to public contempt
c. defamation of a person by written or representational means

slander \'slan-der\ n
a. the utterance of false charges or misrepresentations which defame and damage another's reputation
b. a false and defamatory statement about a person

Perhaps this site needs a moderator to moderate the moderator?

1. My real, and only, identity is not hidden on this site.

Ok and ill take your word for it. Remember this is my opinion. See point 8.

2. I did not cash at this year’s nationals.

So you wouldnt have got a cheque then ?Glad to hear someone did ? Or were they just pushing the barrow ?

3. You will not find my name in the top 3 of any of the results from 2003 Nationals.

Well that would explain why you wouldnt have cashed.

4. My SOHO network topography includes 4 computers, each accessible to the Net via a proxy server.

Umm yep .. like I care .. NEXT

5. The IP address revealed to the moderators, through this system, will be the same for each computer.

True. Well done.

6. Everyone of my family, are all bowlers, have access to these and quite often access the Net simultaneously.

You are lucky man.

7. They all frequent this website, and quite often simultaneously.

no comment.

8. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, after all aren’t we all individuals.

Really ? That's how it works ?

9. My family’s opinion does not necessarily reflect that of my own.

Sorry to hear that.

10. My postings on this site deal with FACTS (TBA calendars, entry forms and announcements, etc.) nothing more nothing less.

Yes I believe you. Why don't you write a book about it ?

11. My postings, on this site, is something that I do not have to do as all these same FACTS are available at the TBA website.

Oh no .. well dont do it if you are going to cry about it.

12. I chose to do this to cater for the 1% of the nations bowlers that frequent this website.

You choose to do so ?? read on ...

13. The method in which I post these FACTS (item 7) is at Graham's request, so that those same visitors will remain active at totalbowling.

At my request ? NO wrong *buzzer*. You choose to post remember. You said so yourself. You wanted to post links ONLY. I told you that you couldnt do that, to post the information and then and only then could you post the link. Hey maybe I will just say post the information and no link. But that wouldnt do any good would it ?

14. You might be bored with the posting of these FACTS (item 7), but if your view counter is correct, then your users certainly are not.

I know item 7 isnt what you are referring to. That's great Peter. I am here to give information to bowlers. If you dont want to post. Dont. Im not actually going to lose any sleep over it.

15. I make no commercial gain from doing this.

That's terrible. By the way .. you want to join CARTON24 ?

16. Graham's post is an infringement of his own terms of agreement. “You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any applicable laws.”

Wow .. im so sorry Peter. How can it be slanderous ? To say that I believe that you are posting under 2 different usernames ? When it COULD be you, and we only have YOUR word for it. RIGHT. I see now how I have broken my own rules.

In summary, I have two words for you. I will list and define them for you.

libel \'li-bel\ n
a. a written or oral defamatory statement or representation that conveys an unjustly unfavourable impression
b. a statement or representation published without just cause and tending to expose another to public contempt

slander \'slan-der\ n

Glad you can use a dictionary. Thats fantastic. I have a smiley face sticker on its way to you in the post.

Perhaps this site needs a moderator to moderate the moderator?

And you are volunteering ? id rather poke myself in the eye with a hot stick and twist it around several times.

It's pointless responding to such an immature reply as that.

Graham, you really do need to grow up. Insults and innuendoes will get you absolutely nowhere in this world.

So because I expressed my opinion and had the balls to put my name to it, it becomes immature, and what I said were insults and innuendo ?

Ok, I must honestly be living in a completely different world.

I'll repeat my earlier post in the hope that someone with an actual name answers...

Just to stir the pot a little more...

Did anyone receive their check from the Nationals ?

If this is the case i know there were less then 10 entries in the event i entered and i know for a fact i won the grade i was in and yet i havent received a cheque in the mail. Maybe its not TBA's fault maybe its Australia Post (Being so busy over the christmas period)

But could someone from TBA confirm whether or not all the National Prize Funds have been Posted.

Cheers
