With the number of bowlers in A Squad equalling the number of entry vacancies in B & C Squads has any thought been made on reducing it to 3 Squads rather than the current 4? Three full Squads of 28 bowlers looks a lot more attractive to watch or bowl in than one empty Squad, 2 almost full Squads and a full Squad. Has any enquiries been made at least to the current nominees for A Squad about the possibility of making this change. A reserves list for each Squad could be made to give any last minute entrants a chance to bowl in case anyone else withdraws from the event. Anyone else feel this is the best thing to do for the event with the aim to retain sponsors interests for next year in mind.

Importantly anyone who knows of a large party of people (whether they are bowlers or not), who are planning a holiday in the Midura region sometime this year should alert them to the sponsors:

Thanks Terry for the comments and support of our sponsors, There is a plan in motion to combine A and B squad mainly for all the reason that you have stated. Even though the people in A squad will be here on time given they have the early start and would not miss the event I will be contacting them to give them a chance to have there say and or just be informed.

Hopefully a last minute rush of entries means this will not be possible . . . lol . .

IF IT DOES COMBINE SQUADS, WHATS THE CHANCE OF MOVING ALL SQUADS FORWARD ONE BLOCK TIME ON THE SATURDAY AND HAVING SAY 2, 3 OR EVEN 4 ROUNDS OF THE FINALS SATURDAY NIGHT. THIS WAY, YOU WONT BE IN A RUSH TO FINISH ON SUNDAY AND HAVE PEOPLE RACING TO CATCH FLIGHTS. AS WE ALL KNOW THE TV FINALS DO ADD SOME DELAY TO FINISHING TIMES, AND ITS SIMPLY DUE TO THE FILMING PROCEDURE. I THINK ALOT OF PEOPLE TRAVELLING WOULD AGREE WITH ME ON THIS.
 
Or another idea is to ask some bowlers to change squads to make all four squads even I wouldn't mind moving to
A squad to even out the numbers if that's the way you want go

more than happy to move to B or C squads if you decide to can A squad. Move the other squads forward 2-3 hours then.
 
Guys due to it being Chinese New Year Crown hasnt given me the time off i needed so please could you remove me from the Squad Listings

Hey guys and girls,
As much as it embarrasses and frustrates us Deano and myself have a serious question to ask and are in need of as many opinions we can get. In the last 24 hours due to unforeseen financial circumstances two of our mid level sponsors have pulled out leaving yet another hole in our prize fund. We would like you bowlers to take your pick of the following two options

Option 1 - Change to the top five payout

1st - $9000
2nd - $4500
3rd - $2000
4th - $1000
5th - $1000

Option 2 - Entry fees to rise from $325 to $350 . .

If by some chance these sponsors come back online and or new one's are found which ever option is picked will reversed back to the way things were before this happen. We both sincerely apologise for this happening but once again was out of our hands.

We need as many votes as we can get as this is a tournament made by bowlers for bowlers and we endever to keep as many people happy as we possible can . .

Sorry to hear about the sponsors.

Whichever way you decide to go is fine by me. If I had to have a preference, I would guess I would pick option A. It is still a great prizefund and losing a bit at the top would not concern me at all, as I doubt it would any of the other guys. I still think it will be a great event and I hope it becomes a regular feature on the calendar. See you Thursday.
