Well done Strike Alot for a great second place paying $3.20. Not one of the NSW dogs placed, and the favourite was also beaten out of place. We forgot to back it, but hopefully will remember to next time. (Unlike Mr Zanoni, I always put on an eachway bet, never on the nose.... lol )...

All the nationally ranked and other major tournaments around the country in 2006 are in the calendar section of www.tenpin.org.au Theirs is completely up to date as far as I know. It includes Youth and Senior tournaments as well for those that are interested.

The Weber Cup definitely refers to bowling. The pool one is the Mosconi Cup. I would say that Foxtel have added the word pool in error in the program listing.

A great weekend of bowling and good company as per usual. It was great to see Hayden and Ashley making the effort to come over from Tassie to compete, they certainly made it worth their while by both making the matchplay final. Hopefully we'll pull a few more of the Taswegians to come and...

Just one more thought came to mind after I had submitted my last post. Surely the centres make enough of a margin on their social bowlers, functions and kids' parties food purchases that they don't need to force their pricing onto the league bowlers as well. We are spending enough money...

We have teams in our Wednesday night league that constantly bring in their own drinks, especially water or soft drink as the prices at the AMF cafe are exhorbitant (? spelling). About $3.60 for a Powerade and around $3.00 for a bottle of water is ridiculous when you can get them heaps cheaper...
