Who's trying out ofr Rachuig / Daveer this weekend

The big Easter bowling fest is over for another year in Melbourne. Who is now going to turn out this weekend at Werribee to make the state teams.

With the entry fee for this trial only $75.00 their is no excuse for those of you who want to test your ability in this game to turn up and measure yourself against the bowlers turning out for competitve events in Victoria at present.

So if you have this weekend free turn up and have ago. You are not subsidising the eventual team members so go on have ago to see where your game is really at.

Entries close tommorrow but I'm sure you can contact the committee to get a fax number to fax in your entry and then pay up on Saturday.

Good luck to all who have already committed to trying out and to those of you who are thinking of it go on have a go. With the two different oiling patterns to play on you may just surprise yourself.

Can somebody out there verify that WDV will get the 2 oiling patterns? I heard a rumour that they will only get one pattern to bowl on.

Speaking to Jan last night, she said that there were approx. 72 or 75 bowlers which includes Rachuig & De Veer.

I think she said approx. 17 Women for Rachuig & 20 odd Men for Rachuig.

If those are the numbers then at least there is a reason to hold two lots of weekends for trials. Would have been pointless if we only had fifteen trying out. Let's hope they all turn up on the day.
