What is happening at woodville

Since i heard that woodville has fire last year and now i am wondering what is happening as no updated about woodville, hopefully things back to normal again

Actually, AMF Kedron had hale damage a couple of weeks ago and will be recieving 8 of their lanes. Will you be opening up as a 12 lane centre???

Woodville use to be a 32 lane centre. Have they reduced in size?

I thought it was only 8 panels...8 lanes??? I know only 12 lanes are "operational" at this point but I didn't think they needed to replace an entire 8 lanes, just 8 panels (HPL synthetics).

for those of you who read the AMF newsletter 'What's the Score' there is a little bit more of an update on Woodville on the back page. by looks of things, kristy is probably right cos its says Woodville is getting new lanes.

Woodville is reducing in size... from 32 lanes to 30 - and should be open on Sept 1st.

Of their old lanes, 24 are going to refurbish another centre (the name of which I won't mention) leaving 8 spare... I'm not sure if they have gone to Kedron but they don't have another home yet...

Your funny..... we have 8 lanes that we cannot put league bowlers on. They are ok for social bowlers, as they can't see thier ball jump while rolling down the lane.

Anyways, to stop any confusion, we need 8 lanes fixed!!

I know that Kristy. What's so funny about my statement? You do realise of course that HPL synthetics are not one long continuous lane surface? Over time individual panels are replaced...not entire lanes. For example, the part of the lane that takes the impact of the ball (impact area) will need to be replaced earlier than other parts of the lane. Therefore it is quite reasonable to expect that not an entire 8 lanes would need to be replaced. It may be the case as they didn't look too pretty when I had a look at them a couple of weeks back, and I do not doubt that you will indeed get an entire 8 new lanes thanks to Woodville. In terms of the ball jumping on those 8 lanes.. well let's say that on a couple of lanes that used to happen anyway if you watched carefully. All I can say is that it's a good thing those lanes are being replaced anyway, regardless of the damage from the storm.

Hope you get those entire 8 lanes in soon.

Are they replacing the 3 approaches that were damaged too?

approaches have simply been resurfaced... look a treat!
pity they didn't do the rest while they were at it
1-4 done and 19-20 resurfaced too

Approaches were done earlier this year. I would think if they weren't damaged they wouldn't need doing again.
