WESTERN LADIES CLASSIC - RICHLANDS

bm2

I'm still standin'
I was given an entry form for this tournament whilst at Redcliffe over the weekend, and thought I'd give it a plug on this forum....

Sunday 15th September, Richlands Tenpin Bowl

Check in for all bowlers at 9.00am
Qualifying - all bowlers will bowl 10 games
Field then cuts to Top 6 on scratch scores. These bowlers contest the Scratch Final of 5 games.
The remaining field cuts to the Top 6 on handicap scores. These bowlers then contest the Handicap Final of 5 games.
Finals commence at 2pm, with presentations at approximately 3.30pm
Full entry fee is $130, a deposit of $30 is required before 31st August to secure your spot.
It is a scratch & handicaptournament open to all female bowlers, adult or junior, and features both scratch and handicap prizefunds. Handicaps will be 80% of 200 based on highest league average as at 1st August 2002.
qualifying pinfall will be dopped for the matchplay in both scratch and handicap divisions.

All the rest of the required info is on the entry forms, which according to Richlands, have been distributed to AMF centres. Payouts based on 36 bowlers range from $450 1st to $100 7th for Scratch and handicap divisions.

There's not a lot on for female bowlers at the moment, and with this tournie having the added plus of handicap, it is worth everyone's while to have a go!
Telephone Richlands on 33751166 for more info.
:) :D :)

:( Well, despite not even getting a third of the anticipated entries for this tournament, AMF Richlands went ahead with it anyway today. :D

A field of 10 - 8 local entries and 2 northsiders - showed up and paid their $130 to bowl...the format was changed to that of handicap only, and prize money was paid for top 4..to their credit AMF paid the majority of the entry money in the prize pool, with 1st getting $400 instead of the original $450, and 4th got $130 . Also a $50 for the highest game outside the top 4.

Results favoured the locals, with Lillian Northcott winning the four game playoff, followed by Gale Heley, Rhea Columbine and Margaret Millard taking the moolah. Jenny Mason of Kedron won the $50 for highest game.

Thanks Richlands, hopefully next time you might get a few more entries!!
