werribee cup

After going through the tournament entry form and speaking to one of the tournament organisers, i understand that the lanes will not be re oiled in between A and B squads.
Was just interested in getting some feed back on whether this is standard practise or not.

Not making a big deal about it, it just seems a little odd to me.
Thats only my opinion

If you have ever bowled at Werribee you would know that the lanes sure as hell dry out quick. Not oiling between squads seems rediculously stupid considering the cost of re-oiling....

Werribee has seen lots of changes in the last couple of months.

They are actively advocating lots of juniors in their centre, and want to participate in holding tournaments for both junior and adult ranks.

This of course made them realise that they needed to find tune the conditions at their centre. I bowled league there last year, and have gradually see the conditions improve. I would suggest you go down to Werribee and try the lanes out now, before criticising what may have been done in the past.

There are not enough centres in Victoria giving tournament bowlers something to play for. With werribee joining the bandwagon, lets give them the credit where it is deserved, and wait until the tournament is over before you start bagging the centre, thats if there is anything that you will need to complain about afterwards.

Before you go getting of your high horse, where in my previous post was i supposedly bagging the werribee centre?. No where that i can see. Was merely bringing up a topic that i thought to be a little odd.Since when was it illegal to have an opinion any way?.
I understand that the werribee conditions have improved a lot and i also understand what they are trying to do for adults and juniors alike. You having bowled there last season (and i bowl league there now) the lanes still dry out quick. That was my point.
So please dont get of your bike just because i was making a suggestion.
