Hi all,
Got to thinking about some weird names that we all call everyday objects and thought it would be interesting to hear what you guys have to say.
We have always had remote control garage doors on our houses and I don't know where it came from, but instead of calling the little button a garage door remote we call it a "Woop woop" and it has stuck for about 10 years.
We call hair ties "Bubbles" and when I asked a friend for a bubble for my daughters hair, she said "What the hell is a bubble?" when I explained it's a hair tie she said "Oh, you mean a lacky band"
