10 years and 2 months after winning his previous Super League title Brenton Manning took out the $4,000 first prize plus and extra $100 bonus for finishing with 207 average for the 96 games.
Back in 1997 Brenton won $2,000 for beating Silvano Prez and Rob Chinner, this time is was Sam Parrella and Tony Stoppel, the 3 of whom had been jossling for the first place most of the season. Brenton gaining the lead 4 weeks ago from Sam Parrella who was attempting back to back wins.
Even though Brenton walked away with $4,100 he wasn’t the biggest winner on the night. Tony Stoppel who collected $1600 for his third place also picked up the members travel of prize of $4,000 worth of travel of his choice just by bowling in the league….. $5,600 for third place, not a bad collect.
Total payout for the league was $21,972
The next season starts next Monday night at Cross Road Bowl, with practise at 6pm and commence play at 6.15pm on the dot. New players are welcome and cost for the 4 games per week is $30 plus $60 entry fee.
