A lot of hard work heheh. When i bet, i bet on both teams and the draw if it has one. I tend to bet a little more on who i think will win but also have a lesser bet on the other team so either way i win something. I always make sure what i win is not less than what i started with.
Vbookie will pay what you win + what you bet on that item.
I made a simple spreadsheet to help workout what i want to bet, what i will win and how many bets i should put on.
=(AmountBet*Odds)+AmountBet = Total return on bet
eg. (1000*1.5)+1000=2500
I think the key to making lots of vcash is to not lose any, if you bet on all outcomes you cant lose. BUT, only if there is three outcomes, If there are 22 outcomes, you will probably end up losing money unless you have bet lots on the favourites and they win.
We all started with only 1000vcash, so you have to start small. My first bet was 51 @ 2-1. a very small return, but you end up making bigger and bigger bets as time goes on and soon you are betting billions
Also keep in mind the limitations of vBookie. I always check what my maximum bet should be. Vbookie has a problem with returns of over 2.1billion. I always divide 2billion by the odds, so i know whats the maximum i should be in one go. Usually i bet 500million per bet. Of course when the odds are higher like for a draw at 26-1 you cant bet that much because it wont pay out if it wins. Personally i have lost more than 50billion on bets that havent paid out, i am sure many others have been stung by this fault too.
I had a few lucky ones when i started, like the Winner of the AO 2008. A right hander was at 400-1. I bet only 500, but won 200000. Go those right handers.
