TV show for Australia 2004??

Hypercell = Hyperhook!
Graham hinted at the presentations of the QLD Cup that there may be a TV show planned towards the end of the year. I for one only hope this comes to fruition. Can you give us any hints or details Grayeme?

George

All I said was that there are people working hard behind the scenes to try and get bowling back on TV. I gave no specifics.

I would appreciate you get your facts straight.

Graham

I'm sure AMF Australia are always working to better the sport and bowlers from across Australia appreciate its commitment. Working behind the scenes on a TV show you would imagine would always be on the cards at some stage, it is a great way to promote any sport.

I never said it was fact, I was merely asking if you would could expand a little further on your comments. If it is something that 'people are are working on', why even mention it at the QLD Cup ?

A lot of people may be under the impression that everyone had given up on getting bowling back on TV. My statement was to reassure people that there are people working very hard to try and make it happen. I didnt give dates, timeframes etc because it is impossible to predict.

I will make sure I run any content of speeches past you in future before I use them.

George as Graham said that there are a lot of people working behind the scenes to try and get bowling back on TV I being one of them and have asked graham to put together a letter that outlines what bowling can and will do for the future so that I can pass it onto a client of mine who just happens to be one of the Managers at chanel 7.
I have spoken to him about trying to put bowling on tv and all he said was that we have to put something together in a letter and he will do his best to get it on, as for how long this will take to get it on the tv is up to production and wich tournements amf suggest. I suggested to Graham that we should try and do something with the super 6 series and a couple of the bigger tournements as well.
Hope this helps you in the knowing that some people are doing their best to get the sport at the top where it should be, but remember this is not going to happen over night.

Huge balls

Don't get the wrong idea, I want bowling back on TV more than anyone. I even completed a long and drawn out application last year with the ABC about getting a 12 week series going which was declined.

I appreciate everything people are trying to do, I think I just took something the wrong way.

My bad, good luck with your proposal

G

George what was in the applicatin that the ABC did not like? Maybe if we know that little bit of information it will help enormously when Graham does the letter so that I can pass it on. Just wanting to let you know that I am doing this because I love the sport and want it to go as far as it can as we have so many gifted people in the sport.
Just imagine young children going to a bowling alley or just at home pretending to be yourself, Belmo, Frawley, Zane Que, Jason Walsh or Jarrod Lean the list is endless, instead of their favourite cricketer or football player, that is where I would like the sport to be, it is a huge goal but why aim low. Anyway will keep you updated as to how things are progressing. Keep up the good bowling even though you bowl on the wrong side of lane( just joking).
