Top 5?

F

Friend or Foe

Who would be the top 5 bowlers in your state in 2002 (M/F,JNR,SNR)?
Friend :) or Foe

well with a few injured and out of play.........and a others only interested in the enjoyment of league...............
top five in qld in my opinion as of this very moment........
george........stand out number one
darryl alford........just needs to believe he can be quality
brando...............needs to get a few older monkeys off his back
morty..........always comes up with the results when you think he's down and out.
and last but not least.........dave turnage...........the man always looks half asleep, but deep down you know he's gunna pull out his big one!!!

some close ones............
brendan heathwood.........after he has gotten past the " i'm 18" stage,he will show some great form.
hamo.........if the guy can settle and say nothing, he will be there
trev........well if i could have a brand new right shoulder and not be having a too good a time.......who knows?????
ian hughes.........where the hell are ya????????

WA

A tie for first to fifth.
Steve Hart and Mike Muir, or Mike Muir and Steve Hart.
Daylight ran the next 3 spots.

Don't see much of Hart or Kury these days besides local Perth tournaments.
It would probably be Muir then daylight. What about the current crop......Clinton Phelps, Matt Fragall, Scott Andrews and other Rachuig bowlers? Why don't some of the "older" bowlers bowl much anymore? :x

The top 5 in NSW (imo) would come from these six bowlers:
Andrew Frawley
Jason Belmonte
Sam Romeo
Billy Gardiner
Andrew Lloyd
Jarrod Lean

Would there be any objection to that.

WA again

Due to the travelling Mike Muir does, it does make him 1st.
2nd Steve Hart

Tom Kury, Steve Wimbridge, Greg Ball, Matt Fragell, Clinton Phelps, John Bushell, Scott Andrews and others make up the rest. I mean no offence to these other bowlers but they must know this as well.

Rob, I think you forgot Michael Little

Trev, thanks for the wrap but in Qld your forgetting some bowlers who I feel are right up there

MEN

Carl Bottomly - dare I say Qld's best ever, his recent form resembles a yo yo but on his day no one can beat him. His resume speaks for itself, deserves respect in any event he bowls

Brian Pilkington - with more National events up his belt, Pilko's performances are getting more and more consistant. If he can just get the mental game in order he'd be hard to beat

Zane Que - Toowoombas answer to Mark Roth, the big fella isn't afraid to put his hand in the ball. More National events is helping his form, a threat in every event, he always seems to be up there at some stage.

WOMEN

Cathy Elwell leads the way, closely followed by Jayde Flanagan, Kelly Warren, Sam Warby, Lisa Que, Kellie Hart & Bianca Flanagan. The womens depth in QLD is getting alot better, hopefully more tournaments under these girls belts will result in a Rachuig win!

JUNIORS / YOUTH

Based on performance, Andy Nobbs is doing pretty well, Matt Smith is certainly an up and coming bowler if he sticks with it. John Fry is a lefty to watch out for, Brendan Heathwood, Alistair Howard, all is good in the QLD junior ranks.
