Tenpin Bowling Australia CEO Cara Honeychurch today announced an exciting increase in prize funds for the feature events of this year’s National Championships in Townsville.
With the generous support of major sponsor, Kirwan Tenpin Bowl, and TBA’s partners Europcar and Willis, the TBA Australian Masters payouts have grown in both men’s and women’s divisions from a total of under $24,000 to almost $30,000.
A full breakdown of prize payouts for the Masters has just been published on the TBA website – www.tenpin.org.au.
“And the good news continues,” said Cara. “Male and Female division prize funds in the Restricted, Seniors and Classic Cups will also have an additional $2,000 in sponsorship for each of the events with the total prize-money on offer for the top three men and women dependent on entries of course,” she explained.
“All up, including championship payouts in all divisions from Open through to “D” grade, TBA members will have the opportunity to share in over $50,000 in prize money this year, plus medallions and other prizes and awards” she added.
“Combined with outstanding value accommodation and hire car rates on offer by our partners Mercure Townsville and Europcar, there’s never been a better time or more reasons to head north in October. Like tenpin bowling itself, the competition is strong, but friendship and fun are the keynotes of the TBA Nationals … on behalf of Kirwan Bowl proprietor, Robbie Buckley and the TBA tournament team, I extend a warm welcome to you and your family to SHINE IN TOWNSVILLE,” Cara said.
