The Tasmanian Championships concluded this weekend at Devonport Bowl with the running of the Open Masters.
In the ladies division, Debbie Riley put in a solid performance with 8 wins in the 10 game final, to average 192 and win by 98 pins from Rebecca Walker.
The mens final went right down to the wire, with Hayden George taking a 24 pin lead over Ashley Riley into the final positional round match. With 30 bonus pins for a win up for grabs, the winner of the match would be the Tasmanian Masters champion. In an epic game, Ashley outlasted Hayden to win the match 225 to 212 and take the title by 19 pins.
