The Tasmanian Championships concluded today and Tenpin Bowling Tasmania would like to congratulate the following bowlers on their wins in the Masters Finals :-
Open Masters - Well done to Ashley Riley & Jackie Crick for their hard fought victories. Ash finished strong with games of 257 & 251 in the final block to defeat Youth bowlers Chris Commane and Joel Reeve by over 100 pins. Jackie also put in a big last game of 224 to overtake Allison Potter to win her first major tournament by 11 pins.
Restricted Cup -Congratulations to Joseph Moraitis & Rebecca Walker. Joseph led all the way to average 190 scratch and defeat a fast finishing Ben Allison who bowled scratch games of 256 & 200 in the last block to finish 56 pins behind Joseph in second place. In a very tense and exciting final in the ladies, there was only 58 pins seperating 1st and 6th place. In the end, it was Rebecca Walker who finished the strongest to win her 3rd Restricted Cup in succession.
Seniors Cup - Garry Crick successfully defended his title to average 196 and defeat Kevin Huxley by 119 pins. Vicki Corbett's final game of 213 was enough to overtake leader Sheila Bowe and win the title by 28 pins.
