Animal`s Pro-Shop takes delight in congratulating Andrew Drew on
winning this event. This win is a testament to Andrews ability to overcome
hardships on and off the lanes, and Carol and I wish him all the success he deserves. Enjoy the win Mate, and there will be more. I couldn`t ask for anyone better to showcase the Hammer Product. See you Wednesday night.
Cheers
Mate.

Congratulations to Drewy on his outstanding win in this years Sun City Open. To win any tournament is an achievement, but to beat a strong field containing Mick Little, Carl Bottomley and Brandon Qualischefski is a testament to Drewy's ability.

Drewy your a top bloke and thoroughly deserved your win as you bowled magnificently when it mattered.

BREAKING NEWS!!!
And as a result of his great win Drewy has secured the first place in the North Queensland Dream Team to contest the 2009 Rachuig tournament ;). As a result there are 6 remaining spots with another spot to be decided at the Cairns Open in January.

When asked about his win Mr Drew was quoted as saying "I'm just glad I could be an inspiration to all the old guys out there, but more importantly I'm really stoked that I have secured a place in the NQ Dream Team as these guys will be the ones to beat in 2009!!" :D

Cheers

Steve

Some great bowling, and congrats to Drewy on a great win. Congrats too to Kate "no-A" Murry in taking out the ladies division, and to Judy and the crew in a very well run and enjoyable event.

As for the rumour that Mr. Drew has made the "Dream Team" thanks to his win, all I can say is that the shock of that yellow card must have gone to Tubbies head - whilst he is certainly a very good bowler, Andrew bowls with the wrong hand to make the "Dream Team". :D

May I say it was great to see the tournament full and being supported by some of Australia's elite bowlers, great for our up and coming juniors to see first hand how these guys bowl

I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the bowlers who participated in this years event, we could not have asked for a better result on and off the lanes. The scores speak for themselves with the top 24 bowlers all over the card and congrats to the top 16 for an entertaining day of match play.
Andrew well done on a great win it was well deserved and is a testament to your ability. A big thank you goes out to the sponsors of the event who if not for them it would never get off the ground and a big thank you to all the staff of mount louisa lanes for running a tight ship all weekend. This is the first time the event has ever been full and with such a fantastic showing of support we look to better the event next year (extra squad, higher prize fund etc).

So again thank you to all our particpants and we will see you all again in 2009.

Shane.

Well done Drewy...what happened:confused:....either there was no oil at all or they were so open that even The Garden Gnome could hit the pocket...( o.k. Dwambo..maybe brooklyn)....or did they let you lay a towel on the lane???????:rolleyes:
