Steve Lovell Can He Still Win?

He always seems to be up there so I don't see any reason to believe he can't.
But why just pick 1 guy out from the crowd?

Sure he will..........he just has to watch out with some of the moves he still does out there. Your not a spring chicken any more Steve.....Ha! Ha!

Good to see you out there with us oldies, still exciting the Female population with your moves ............Don't excite them too much my boy!

cheers

Tony

Steve's next win is not too far away.
His 5th place in Sydney recently was just a glimpse of things to come.
He's a champion, he knows how to win.
So, yes, of course Lovey can still win.

I am a little bit confused with this topic....

Steve Lovell is no doubt one of the greats in Australia and is also a great character on and off the lanes. He also loves the game and is about getting it back to where is was, which is why I think it is great he is back out there bowling in the events.

It is also the little things that ppl dont see that makes Lovell great, I will never forget when he first came up and spoke to me out of the blue....I was a young fella and he came and told me I had potential and to keep working on my game. This meant the world to me and improved my confidence. This is a common occurrence at all events I see him talking to the younger guys and they love it.

I hope there was no ill intent to this post because the longer guys like Steve Lovell keep bowling events the better for all involved..no matter if he can win or not.

And to answer the question...of course Steve Lovell can still win.....can see from his recent results he is still competitive and is not out of place out there on the lanes. Plus just ask the man himself...he will be quick to say he still has it and can beat anyone and I for one agree with him.

Lovey, can't wait to catch up again soon and thanks for all your support over the many years now I have known you.

Hasnt he won enough :)

Yes he will win - he will keep bowling till he does. There is a little something special about winning in this decade.
He will be the only guy in the world to of won at least 1 title in the 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's and then 2010's
haha

Ok he isnt that old, but i do believe if he wins in this decade he will of won a title every decade since the 70's?? Lovey help me on this one.

I'll never back against this guy (unless he is rolling the dice at craps haha) so i reckon we will see his name and face atop of the podium again before the year 2020

Lovey - mate your more than just a hall of famer bowler - your a good mate and i hope you achieve this one final goal in your amazing career.

Just a word of advice - make sure im not bowling in your events though, I dont want to be the guy to keep killing your dream :)

Love ya Lovey

Lovey is a very good friend of mine, my topic was a confidence booster for him as we were having a few ales together recently at the Melbourne Cup and at the Casino???? I was encouraging him to bowl in more events rather than playing more golf??

No Intent

Lovey, l think you are to old. More than likely the next time you do a pelvic thrust at a stubborn 7 pin your leg will pop out of it's socket! But then you are left handed so being as it's so easy on that side you're still a chance. LOL!
Hope to see you at the next one.
Paul.

Lovey is a champion, in every sense of the word. Lovey's physical game is still good enough to win in Australia, the only thing lacking (as I mentioned to him recently) was his technical knowledge. That's why I told him to grab some new gear and see the difference.

Gone are the days of just repeating shots, now you have to know how to break down oil, read lanes, adjust ball surfaces, etc, this is what is putting Lovey behind the eight ball a little, not much but enough.

He's still one of my idols and I enjoy competing with him. He is still the No.1 lefty in my eyes....

You betcha .... he may be old but the skills are very much still there. Just see what happens when he gets a wiff of the win ...

I've already won major titles in five decades....60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's
maybe I should come out of retirement when I get back from the USA and show Mr Lovell how it's done. :)

Maybe come out of retirement when your'e IN the States? - and win a title there!! That'll REALLY show 'em.;)

Well done Wayne on your acheivements. When and if I ever see you on the lanes, make sure you always keep calling me Mr Lovell.
Cheers Lovey
