My apologies for not posting the results for these tournaments prior to this.
They were both held last weekend at Burnie Bowl as part of the first weekend of the State Championships and Masters.
VETERANS CUP:
While numbers in the Veterans Cup were disappointing, I would like to thank the bowlers that did enter for supporting the tournament and all of them making the effort to travel up to Burnie. Final was 7 games, scratch.
Mens Division:
1st Place: Ted Tylutki
2nd Place: Eddie Ratcliffe.
Womens Division:
1st Place: Shiela Bowe
2nd Place: June Cashion.
RESTRICTED CUP:
Due to a few minor hiccups, the ladies and mens final were completed separately. Thanks to the mens field for their patience! Final was 7 games, scratch for both divisions.
Womens Division:
1st Place: Carol Haberle
2nd Place: Jenny Granger.
Mens Division.
1st Place: Bruce Potter
2nd Place: Rick Walker.
Congratulations to all the winners, who have won the right to represent Tasmania in their respective divisions in the Australian Veterans and Restricted Cups. A special mention to Carol Haberle, who was competing in only her 2nd tournament and now has a 100% winning record.
Kassey Fechner.
Co-Tournament Director.
