St Leonards Tenpin Club 2012-13 Season

Hi,

The new season for the St Leonards Tenpin Club is due start Sunday March 25th at Villlawood Tenpin Bowl and is open to all bowlers.

There will be 12 tournaments held on the last Sunday of each month (except September & December). The format will be six games in 2x3 game blocks. Places determined by total pin-fall plus handicap with the handicap being 80% of 220.

Points will be earned and tallied from each tournament to determine the top 16 bowlers to contest the match-play final that will held inn March 2013.

Cost per tournament may remains at $45 and this includes a raffle ticket for a meat tray or fruit box.

Once again, many thanks to AMF NSW North Regional Office for their continued donation of $1000 towards this seasons finals prize fund.

Check in is at 9.15am, bowl at 9.30am. There will be a meeting prior to commencement of the this Sunday's tournament to elect the new tournament committee and to register new members. So if you could be there by 9.00am it would be appreciated.

Next Tournament: Due to the Labour Day log weekend, the next tournament has been moved from September 30th to October 7th.
March 2013 Finals: The finals will now be contested by the top 14 bowlers instead of the top 16. It will be re-considered, if the numbers pickup for the last 6 scheduled events.

Congratulations to Nicholas Liem on winning this season's Match-play finals. Close 2nd place to Phillip Simnett and 3rd place to Shaun O'Hara. Highest place of the ladies was Lorraine Hazelwood in 8th place.

Thanks to Marg Ward and Eileen Egan for helping with collecting the score sheets during the day.

Thanks also to the friendly staff at AMF Villawood. Thier assistance during the day and for the past 12 months makes it easier to run these events.

Last but not least, thanks to AMF for the contribution to the prize fund.

New season will be starting on April 7th at 9am to ellect the new committee for the 2013/14 season.
