Sport Bowling series

Guys,

I thought I would move this topic to here to wake it up a little. See the topic 'Sports Series for Sydney/NSW' in the main forum.

Come on, there must be more than 3 people that are interested in having a sports bowling series in and around Sydney. I would need about 10 - 15 responses to get off my butt and organise the events. I know of one centre that may be interested in hosting but I would like more feedback first.

Just as a reminder, the series would be 5 - 6 tournaments a year preferrably in the months where few other tournaments are being played.

Format: 10 games (scratch) with total pinfall determining the placings.

Prizefund: Payment would be 1:2 get money, 1:3 money back.

Lane Conditions: Similar to PBA and other tournaments in the USA.

Cost: Approx. $75 but to be confirmed.

Please email me or reply to this post if you are interested.

Cheers
Aaron

The secret : dont ask for interest .. just do it and they will come.

There are two many what if's - people like to see it on paper and then will commit.

Just my 2c

Quick update, I have spoken with Roy at BowlAustralia and he has indicated that we could run a Sports Series at Ryde (on a Sunday morning) and Castle Hill (on a Monday or Thursday night). They can set up sports conditions and produce a graph of the actual pattern laid down on the day with their lane measuring machine. I just need to get the bowlers.

Ahhhh......I can see the Queen of Tournament bowling in Qld (Mary Flower) saying to herself now....."JUST DO IT!"

"It won't happen over night but it will happen!"

"Build it and they will come!"

:p

Im sure Roy could find room at Tuggies for bowlers who wish to travel to the ACT for a Saturday arvo or Sunday morning theres one series spot.

Im thinking youll need to release a date/s and see what interest builds.

"Build it and they shall come"

Whats my 75 bucks give me in prize fund ? In other words what is the winners purse ?

A chance to bowl on sports conditions and only $75, might start fishing gear out of the shed. Like the idea of a tuggers event, may make some of the wouda/couda/shoulda crew put up or shut up.
