As the countdown continues to this year’s TBAQ Adult State Championships, an unprecedented bonus for competitors has just been announced.

With the generous support of the event’s major sponsor, Back Roads Touring Company, a stunning travel prize valued at up to $12,000 will be offered in a fund-raising raffle for the sport State-wide, and every player competing in this year’s Championship will be allocated two complimentary tickets.

“With a cap just 10,000 tickets to be released and sold, the odds are incredibly good … our volunteer associations all across Queensland will also have the opportunity to fund-raise in support of bowlers in their local areas by selling tickets, while every one of our Championship competitors will enjoy the bonus of two additional chances to win this tremendous prize,” commented leader of the organising committee, Morty Douglas.

“The prize will be drawn during TBAQ’s Awards Night on Sunday, 6 May with the lucky winner entitled to choose between one of Back Road Touring’s recently launched, luxury tours of Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia. “Combined with return airfares from Brisbane, the selected BRT tour for two people will be an extraordinary opportunity to experience one of the gems of Asia,” he added.

Youth and Adult bowlers congregating in the beautiful city of Toowoomba to compete in TBAQ’s State Championships at Sunset Superbowl will also have plenty of reasons to extend their visit to Toowoomba. In addition to the region’s long list of attractions, many local accommodation providers are offering special rates to bowlers, their families and supporters for the two consecutive weekends that the Championships and prestigious Awards function are scheduled, from 28-29 April and 5-7 May 2018.

“To bring these Championships back to Toowoomba after a hiatus of almost 20 years is testament to Toowoomba’s emerging reputation as an ideal location to stage major sporting events,” said Mayor of the Toowoomba Region, Cr. Paul Antonio. “Toowoomba has such a lot to offer bowlers during their time here and we’re looking forward to working with TBAQ and the team at Sunset Bowl to create an exciting and memorable experience for visiting and local bowlers alike,” he added.
