the link above is a link to the USPS international postage calculator.
USPS is the United States Postal Service and it provides many services to those of us in Aus who cant resist the bargins in the USA.
(by the way, USPS works together with Australia Post to get the package securely to your door)
they have 3 primary servises
Global Express Mail (EMS) which gaurentees delivery within 5 days and offers free insurance
Airmail Post which gaurnetees delivery within 10 days
Surface Post (economy) which takes about 4-6 weeks to arrive.
i recently purchased a 15lb bowling ball and size 12 dexter shoes from Buddiesproshop.com and the total cost of shipping was US$102 which is about 140 aussie buks (that arrived in 4 days via Airmail EMS)
but yeh, play around with the postage calculator and you will get a rough idea of how much delivery will cost.
Sean if you do use USPS their idea of a tracking number is a bit different to the other shipping companies.
With USPS you can't actually track the parcel whilst it is in transit , you can only trace it to the final destination.
Some shipping companies allow you to track the parcel at different stages of its journey.
USPS is probably the cheapest though.
If you buy the ball from one of the online proshops, then there is like a .00000001% chance the ball will get lost. Most proshops deliver within 3 weeks of purchase, if you pay for that service, otherwise its 2 months.
