Lefty-Can't Carry
I'd like to know why the prize fund is so poor for this tournament.
Last year, even if you made the cut, you didn't get money back, and it is the same this year. You have to finish 6th.
If the organizers want to keep this tournament going, they should be encouraging the bowlers with better prize money, especially as many incur a lot of expense to travel to Adelaide.
Working on the number of bowlers expected even the minimum (60)
the entry fee alone covers the prize fund payout without including any sponsorship money.
At least in Canberra last year, 12th place got money back. This year with more entries the prize money went further down the list, which will encourage bowlers to come back next year.
Unless the organisers offer some incentive, I'm sure that they will be struggling for entries.
