26 bowlers turned out for the first outing of '3 Sundays 4 Seniors' - a most enjoyable and friendly Sunday morning with most bowlers staying for the finals. Well worth watching too with the cut to Top 5 - 5th,4th,3rd played with Johan Delange 221 finishing ahead of Jim Murray 181 and Gary Bernardin 159
.
Match 2 saw Johan continue on to the final against top qualifier Kevin Blackmore - Johan defeated Mike Sullivan 215 - 210 setting the standard for the final. Both started with 6 baggers and the crowd started to really get into it .... however, Kevin finished in fine form with a 267 to 259 win. Congrats. to both finalists on a stirring finish.
The Broni award to top 60+ bowlers went to Mike Sullivan.
The Broni award for top female went to Christene Webster who finished in
9th place overall.
The Jak Mac award for the top handicap female was won by Jeanette Davis.
The next tournament is on 6th April with a slight change to the format to give some encouragement to the lower average bowlers who attended - I said SLIGHT changes, boys !!!! Keep checking out this site for more info. and thanks to Total Bowling for making it easier to attract entries and see results.
A very good day with plenty of positives coming from the bowlers - but what would you expect from the SENIORS !!
