first jp i bowled with you at liverpool and you are a gentleman and a very good bowler but can anyone tell what age can a person join the seniors:confused:

Hi matt, just saw this post, thought I'd try to clear it up a bit because we have had discussions in Perth about this topic.
There are two organisations catering for Seniors - ATBSO & TBA Seniors
ATBSO joining age is 45 years and over, must reach the age of 45, not be 45 in that year, it is up to state organisations whether they open the tournaments up and have "junior" members, but Nationally it is 45 years of age.
TBA Seniors - you need to turn 50 years of age in the year you are competing so if you want to bowl in Caboolture 2008, and your birthday is 31st December 2008 you are allowed to bowl in it - makes a bit of a mockery of the age criteria doesn't it, should be you are either 50 or not, but those are the rules... hope that helps... I may be wrong so if someone can confirm that would be nice.
