Can someone please advise how close we are to getting a complete Qld tournament calendar for 2003, now that the rachuig application forms have been released??

ATBSO National Championships are sometime in October at AMF Kedron.

thanx Graham and Andrew...have those dates already. Was looking more for the various centre tournaments, ie Redcliffe Open, Brisbane Cup etc, the local championships and the WDV rolloff.
Will just sit back and wait for the dates like everyone else!

Dates are very close now for the AMF Brisbane Circuit ... I have in my hand a list of interim dates but they are just that .. as a few of the events clash with other Brisbane tournaments.

27 April : Greenslopes Classic, Greenslopes
7 June : Western Open, Richlands
26 & 27 July : Brisbane Cup, Mt Gravatt
30 & 31 August : Cannon Hill Cup, Cannon Hill
8 November : Capalaba Cup, Capalaba
13 & 14 December : Redcliffe Open, Redcliffe

Im pretty sure these dont clash with anything. If they do please let me know either via here or email me.

I have a feeling the Richlands event clashes with Assoc. Challenge but you can't please everyone. Just letting you know, that's all Graham.

ATBSO championships are also on the weekend of Richlands....don't know that it will impact too much though!!!

Richlands is a major clash. There are 140 tournament class bowlers at the Assoc. Challenge.
Maybe not the top 140 in the State, but these are the sort of bowlers any tournament or circuit would seek to attract. If its not too late, maybe Richlands could consider a change of date?
The Challenge date has been unchanged for over ten years and it always attracts a full field.

Melbourne Cup As Well

I belive the Melbourne Cup is on the same weekend. So anybody whos not bowling Association Challenge might even consider this tournament.

Ok as promised .. we have changed the Western Open date .. originally proposed for the 7th June (which clashes with Association Challenge).

The new date is the 14th June. It is a one day format - the Sports Series is the next day but theres not much we can do.

In regards to the calendar .. I did look at the TBAQ calendar to work things out .. unfortunately it doesnt mention the Assoc Challenge - so im blaming that
