I am attaching our results for the Classic.
Full results are also on the TBA website: tenpin.org.au
Ann Maree Putney stormed through matchplay after her 5th place qualifying position (202.5 ave.) with a tournament winning 241.6 ave.
With one game to go, AMP was only 7 pins ahead of Emma Rutten and
K & K Classic winner, Rebecca Simpson a further 19 behind. A solid 213 game and a win overcame Emma's 200 game with 20 bonus pins and Rebecca's 196.
Tournament qualifying average for the 50 bowlers was a healthy 182.6 and a 200.9 Matchplay ave. made the tournament average for the weekend 185......extremely gratifying to see the bigger numbers of young bowlers competing this year - AND promising to come back for more.
A very different tournament from the high scoring conditions of previous years - not so much buzz without the big strings of strikes but certainly a tournament to test the mettle of Oz's best and the cream always rises to the top.........we wish the Australian Team all the best and on their showing this weekend, we have high hopes. Good luck!
Once again, thanks especially to our Sponsors, Big Girls Don't Cry Anymore, Golden Girls Jewellery and Heritage Bay Pty.Ltd. Brian Bates at Caboolture and all the staff were their usual efficient selves. My TEAM is just awesome (so what is new!!)
Attached are the results and hope to see you all next year and MORE!!
