I have heard many persons discussing the 'well known'bowlers who missed out and passing comment on the selectors - but the issue is 'every one had the opportunity' - we had two places to fill on selection and in my estimation apart from the two who achieved the highest vote count -6 bowlers not 2 or three could have filled those two places!! The selectors voted using their own criteria (each their own). The result is an exceptionally strong team.
Special mention to these bowlers in the Roll Off:
Ian Schuler - Ian Schuler bowled like the champion he is.
Darryl Alford - Darryl bowled the first sanctioned 300 at Chermside.
Jason Walsh - Matty Middlemiss - Alistair Howard -Brandon Qualischefski. THERE YOU GO THE SIX others that deserve to be in the team. These six bowlers I think all deserved to be in the team this year.
Ladies: special mention: Rebekah Meads, Kelli Hart. Well done.
The other achievement is 46 bowlers threw their hat in the ring supporting the State. Thank you every one
