Regrettably Morty Douglass has had to withdraw from the SQ Team. His place will be taken by Jason Pearson who was the Team Manager.
The position of Manager is yet to be finalised.

Andrew just to clarify before everyone jumps in here. Jason Pearson was called into the team as he was the first eligible reserve for the Sth QLD Mens team….. Not because he was manager.

Morty on Behalf of the Mens team we wish you well and look forward to seeing you agian next year

Congrats to Jason Pearson on his inclusion into the SQ Rachuig Team. Its unfortunate that Morty Douglass had to withdraw from the team. His determination and his commitment to SQ winning Rachuig will be sorely missed. I'm sure the team will lift to cover this loss.

Just one question Andrew, when did State Championships Scores become part of the qualifying or was this introduced this year as i didn't read a nomination form?

I think I may be able to answer that ...

Part of the criteria for playing in the state teams is that you must play in the state champs, or apply for an exemption before the tournament.

So, State Champ Scores counting ... yep, you have to post one.

State Champs have been part of the criteria for years.
There will be changes next year. The board have suggested that the major qualifying criteria be State Champs in the same year.
Previously it was State Champs the same year and the previous year plus City or Area champs.
City and Area Champs seem to be dying so that requirement will be dropped.
However in order to be eligible, reserves will be required to participate in most team fundraising.
