All I can say is Trotts well done. Looked pretty tough out there with the low scoring but hey didnt looked like it stopped you much. Your just a dead set legend.

Congrats Paul you did very well under extreme conditions on the lane and off. The tough conditions and the very humid weather made for a challenging weekend.

Also i would like to say well done to everyone who attended the Warrnambool Cup this year in making it one of the, if not the most enjoyable tounament thoughout the year. A fun weekend i think was had by all and i'm one that will be going back again. I would engourage anyone, if they want a fun weekend away with friends consider making the trip in 2004.

Of course we can forget the people behind the scenes. It ran very smoothly which is a credit to the people and their planning. Well done.

See you their in 2004

Regards
B

Just like to send out a big thank you to everyone for showing concern for my poor old thumb on Sunday, it managed to make it through a leauge session on Monday night too(covered in Leukoplast), with a painful but enjoyable 3/668 to show for it :D :D ha ha!. Big ups to Trotts, no games under 180 on the Sunday made all the difference and to Alan Notman for showing everyone that plastic still has its uses  Big thanks too to Neville Vagg for backing this event again and keeping one of the last of the 'old style' tournaments alive.

seeya next year

Hi Ian,

Can you put both Tanya and myself down for A squad again next year.

It worked really well this year, with a Tanya cashing, and myself making the final at Warrnambool for the first time in 6 attempts.

With the smaller numbers being able to bowl (max of 72 now, down from 78) does that mean a possible price increase for next year?

Would it also maybe be possible to bowl 12 games for qualifing to ensure we bowl across the house, and not miss 2 lanes, like we always do.

I wold like to pass on my congrats to Trotts on holding his nerve in the closing 3 rounds, unlike myself, who hit the front and then fell in very big hole for the next 2, to give it straight back to Trotts.

The staff at the bowl, and the tournament committee, and of course Neville Vagg, once again made this the most enjoyable tournament of the year. The atmosphere is the that of a good weekend, and does not really resemble that a tournament, but lets fun, and enjoy ourselves. This was evident by the fact that approx half of this years field all went out for dinner on Saturday night and had a good time, even though it was hotter in the resturant than in the bowl at the hight of the day.

Congrats to all those all supported this event in entering and having go, and lets keep this event in the same spirit as it has been for years, and lets all turn up again next year, and give it our all.

Congrats must also be passed onto those that travelled from all parts of the state, and SA (Sam Parella who once again travelled across for this weekend), with Mildura also well represented. This is just an indication of how good this event is when people are willing to travel those distances for this event.

See you all next year, or before.
