Ok what sports besides bowling you into?

Depends what you mean by into Micky. Cricket is an absolute passion but I get a lot of enjoyment out of footy. Only as a spectator mind you. I'm on the wrong side of forty so I'm slowing down a bit. Would be nice to see English cricket on top again but that could take a while.
(Williams if you're monitoring this, no cracks about the English team. And thanks for the forum !)

Ill be well into my 40's before English cricket gets back on top .. probably hundred and 40's but it's all the same ?

Any bets on the cricket tonight ? Aussies going to pull it out of their backsides ?

well.....i play Cricket during summer, Basketball during the winter.....go to the gym....love the footy, dont play anymore.....to many injuries...so yeh love my sport!

They need to get a very early wicket to have a chance. But if one of these two goes in the first over or two I'd back the Australians.
Mark are you one of those people who are real good at all the sports you play?

I myself am a Cricket man through and through. In 2001/2002 season I had the Best Cricket Bowling average in the Northern Zone with an average of 6.8 runs per wicket (as an opening fast bowler). I got a couple of pretty cool trophies for that too. My best figures that season were 5-14. The year before that I took a Hat-Trick. Those three in a row happened to be all bowled middle stump which was pretty cool.

This Season I was Opening Batsman and had a strike rate of 100.9 runs per hundred balls for the season (all innings as opener) at an average of about 20. So as you can see, I love Cricket.

The mental aspect of Cricket is very important. If the oponents have it over you mentally you will crumble. You have to be willing to stand up to the heat and take stick from them, as well as give it. This is very similar to bowling in many ways. You have to have it right in your mental game or you will do no good at all. I guess you have to be aggressive in your mind to both sports and believe you can do it.

SANFL and WAFL footy mainly(AFL can go poo their own pants) I Like following English county cricket too(especially when the mighty Hick is racking up double and triple hundreds)Not really huge on rugby, especially now Parra's having a **** season. I dont mind any golf that pops on TV and I watch my share of NFL when thats on too. Almost forgot Basketball too. Might actually take up golf one day.

    well i'm into basketball and rugby and cricket but i don't really get time to do them because i'm either doing school work or doing bowling and practicing.

Ok , since taking up bowling in 1988 , I have not played any other sports.

Before I turned to our wonderful sport, I did Little Athletics,BMX bike riding( I was only about 7!!) down at the local track with my cousins ,but the track has long gone.

Then I started Bowling and have not looked back :D

As a spectator I love the Cricket(GO AUSSIE GO), AFL ( CARLTON) and sadly they only come to SA once a year so I go and support the boys all the time!! and English Premier League Soccer and who else is there to support but Manchester United!!!!

p.s and no Carlton are NOT going to get the spoon this year  GEELONG and the WESTERN BULLDOGS can have that honor

Done athletics all my life, still train (not sure why). Can still run a 100m in under 12 secs. In my younger days played representitive sports for Touch football, Volleyball and Soccer. Queensland team 3 years in a row for Track and Field. Fitness has helped my heaps with my bowling.

Scuba Diving :D !!!!!! well if it counts... :( when im not bowling im underwater!!! Sharkies!!!

well i love soccer. have played for 16 years this year. :) A long time. Only took up bowling last year and other then that a bit of cricket, but with only one eye cricket is a bit hard. No 3d perseption. :(

i do indoor rock climbing and roller hockey, both of them are so damn fun and really good for fitness and muscle endurance, plus I used to do rugby before I got into bowling but sadly was forced to quit. :( boo hoo

i play cricket during summer and basketball during the winter and love both games but i also do cycling and might take up triathalon (i think thats how its spelt.)
all these other sports have helped me to keep fit for bowling but i just do it all for fun. watching footy is always fun and i used to play it but i keep on hurting myself and bowling got in the way of it.

Last year I played hockey during the winter and then Tennis through the summer. Hockey meant i was turning up sore to bowling and after getting my left hand fingers smashed onto the stick from a close range shot I decided to give it a rest (All i can say is lucky i am a right hander).

If you are meaning watching sport - well you put a sport on and I will watch it.

Football, or as us aussies call it, Soccer. The World Game as had me ever since i a wee little whippersnapper. 11 years this year, not bad when ive only just turned 16, some major injuries have ruined that career for me. But throughout my life ive tried many sports. Little Athletics(got too old) Cricket (WAY TO BORING!, batting wasnt too bad, as long as u could bat, and fielding, well, thats just outrageous!) Indoor Cricket(twas much better, much faster) Never understood the draw card of Rugby league, Union, or AFL, but thats just me.

Tash, Manchester United are the greatest current English team. and on another Football note, Can anyone else believe that A.C Milan knocked Real Madrid out of the Champions League?????

Later Da Cowman!

I'm into drag racing in a big way and motorsport in general, only came back bowling when the track in Canberra was shut down. was also a fair middle distance runner in my younger years as well as motocross racer. my only wins at national level have been in S/ST

da_cowman, they are the best are'nt they!! And I also like V8's and speedway particularly the sprint cars( the ones with the wings)

However due to the cost of going to speedway I don't often get to go.

So to add to bowling and AFL and Soccer i do like the V8's and speedway. oh and I also love the SANFL and my team i support and have done since being a baby is CENTRAL DISTRICTS.

Being an only child and I guess with my family into soccer, cricket, AFL, SANFL etc, it was only natural that I would be interested aswell!! :D

My main passion is, of course bowling but, I have been a member of the Hobart Football Club (Southern Football League) for the last 28 years {My whole life} and am still involved as a volunteer at the club operating the scoreboard during home games and doing a lot of other work around the club. I gave up bowling tournaments in 1997 to help out the club when it was almost dead at the time but it still survives thankfully. My family has been involved in the Tigers since 1909.
I'm also a mad Richmond supporter in the AFL, but I don't have a great deal of respect for the AFL seeing at close hand what it has done to regional football.
Also I believe AFL football has become too soft these days - I prefer the 70's type of footy with biff and fights mainly.
I used to play football but gave up about 15 years ago to concentrate on bowling.

I also love watching English Premier League, my favourite team is Millwall in the 1st Division - also Hull City in Division 3 because they are the Tigers.
A mate of mine down the road here is the former Head groundsman at Elland Road (Leeds United's Stadium) up until 1999-2000.
Before I became a rather heavy smoker I was also a school champion sprinter in 100m and 200m.
Thats about all. :D
