is this with msn 6?
cos i know when that option screen of "would you like to upgrade came up" i clicked yes, and now everytime i try to sign in, it has the signing in screen, but after a few seconds its freezes and comes up "not responding"
dunno if this is the same trouble as you, but i guess i'll find out later on

msn 6 is still really buggy!
What you have just described has happened to alot of people.
Remember this isn't a MS made product
So you will have jsut about no support! My advice is to backup your contact list that way you cant go wrong.

i got msn 6 off msnskins.net and it listed the creator as microsoft.
it sounds like someone is trying to get one over on a lot of people seeing v6 isn't supported by microsoft.
i've had to uninstall v6 and delete it completely and re-install v5 which i still had on my pc.
i still have all of my contacts thankfully

When i first got MSN 6 after downloading it i tried to sign in and it kept saying i should check my internet connection and that there was a problem with the service, and it kept doing that, so i just un-installed it and re-installed MSN 5 .. but now i have a new computer MSN 6 works just fine..
Does anyone know when the REAL MSN 6 is being released? or has it already? :?:

I have talked to my Daughters who are MSN heads and they tell me that this can happen periodically for no apparent reason and has done to them. The only way to cover your butt is to keep a copy of your list . Microsoft :- "Maker of some of the worlds most marketable viruses" :roll:

yes i agree, just to be safe save your contact list, least then you can import it if you lose your contacts ..

Seems to me that msn 6.0 has finally been released on the ninemsn website. this actually happened ages ago.
I found 6.0 ages b4 it was released and discovered that it planted a search toolbar on internet explorer that i still havent managed to get rid of. also after that it crashed internet explorer and now im having to use netscape which i think is a heap of trash!
Come to think of it. anyone out there have any idea's on how to fix this problem? ive tried everything and im not a happy man.
The main thing internet explorer is doin is freezing itself just after or during when a page is loaded. it freezes quickly when sites using java are being preformed. if not used for a long time, it will work for a short period then start to freeze again.
Some how i dont think this problem cant be curable.. not to me anyways.

Peter, try re-installing Internet Explorer 6 that might work.
I haven't lost any contacts or anything, but I have been getting my msn 6 crash a lot, and not only that it crashes quite often when linking with Outlook Express 6.
I also got the "would you like to upgrade" screen, but AFTER i had already installed msn 6.... :?
The last couple of days I haven't had as much of a problem...we'll see what happens.

Lickwid Green is the search bar thing in ur internet explore a light blue colour and it has a search bar, and then like what seems to look like links ?? Cause i have one to and i can't get rid of it, i have Adware and it hasn't gotten rid of it either, but i didn't notice this toolbar until around 3 weeks ago, but i've had MSN 6.0 for like 2 or more months !!
Just a thought .. If anyone knows the solution please do tell .. cos it's soooo ugly and annoying haha ..

Mine is probably because i haven't downloaded the real version of MSN 6.0 yet .. i still have the BETA version, but i dunno, it could of updated it self haha. :roll:
