were playin the GCC Championships in Qatar....n i had a game where i had 5 10-pins throughout the game...n i bounced out 4 of them into the gutter...the furthest went just before the backend so it wasnt far,.....just the fact that it got a bit annoying coz we had to call the lane man everytime n it slowed down the play a bit..lol........ #-o 
Simon, I've seen your brother Jason get one across the small capping. Pin came flying off the sweep rail, or curtain hanger. It was moving pretty quick.
And yes, the dots is my best effort. Took one step down the capping, picked the pin up, and hurled it back down the lane.... It flipped at the pin deck and missed the entire rack :lol:

i was going for a 3 pin with my apex reflex on lane 15 and it ripped back from the gutter, hit the left side of the pin, the pin bounced back onto the back wall which bounced onto the side wall which kicked out onto lane 14 about 10 feet or so!!!!
ive never seen a pin kicked out so far before let alone kicked out onto another lane, it was insane!!!

ive heard one hit the masking unit, then looked back and seen it lying against the capping on lane 11. Almost sounded like a shot gun that went off, ive never seen a mechanic run so fast :lol:
Maybe we should start another thread with dead ball carry? see how far we can get the balls to roll back up the lanes after going dead :twisted:

Hobart Masters one year (early to mid 90's) on Lane 1 at Moonah, left a 1-2-4, shot the spare, sent the headpin off the back corner near the 10-pin spot, it came screaming down on to the lane and out past the sweep, out into the little walkway next to the lane. I think Shaun Maguire was the laneman that retrieved it. Only time I've ever seen that happen.
As for distance, probably five or six feet past the arrows would be my best.
I did see a pin sitting in the gutter about four feet past the foul line one morning when I went in to clean the building a couple of months ago - probably one of yours Androo..LOL

I was at Nerang for the junior champs last year and i got 2 pins back past the sweeper. I had a 6-10 and chopped the 6, it came off the back, hit the 10 and both finished a 1/4 of the way back down the lane.
Ive seen Trent Bourke bring a 10 back to the arrows at Chermside. He had 9 in a row before the 10 pin and finished with a 260 something. A nice way to releave some stress !!!

In League I sent a pin spinning back down the middle of the lane to about 20 feet from the pins. It continued to roll in a big circle with the head of the pin in the middle of the lane, went around about 7 or 8 times.
For power:
Also in League, ten pin conversion at express pace sent the pin down the gutter across the foul line and into the players area.
For Huh?:
Playing in a Vic Seniors Tourney, (Some Old farts are still real strong) I hit the sweep after converting the ten pin. The ball hit the pin and then came back from the pit down the right gutter, catching the sweep as it descended and knocking it out of whack. We were on the end lane and thankfully my fellow bowlers backed me up when an excited lane man started to come down the walkway to give me a piece of his mind about hitting sweeps.

bowling in a league on nite at funland centre which is the biggest centre we have in Bahrain..n i threw a rocket for the ten pin(bein quite annoyed) :x .....and after sparing the 10 pin n realising the ball hadnt come back...the laneman told us we had to move lanes coz the ball had split the plank of wood behind the black curtain and got stuck underneath it.. ...they wernt too pleased.. :roll: ..then again the 10 pin shouldnt have stood..LOL 8)
