Message to all bowlers - 2010 Wide bay Tour

Please be advised the series is well and truly alive. Toowoomba was cancelled due to various reasons and the next event on the Calendar is at Rockhampton - The Rocky Eliminator on 26/27th June. Entry forms will be posted soon so get your Entries in early. Shayne has asked to step back as co-ordinator of the Tour so he can concentrate on his bowling which is understandable. From here on the Centre proprietors will be taking responsibility of promoting their Event and officiating on the weekend it is held. Shayne has said he will continue on as a major Sponsor and will fulfill his other commitments to the Series right up to the final on November 2010.
Proprietors to contact for any further questions for each remaining Event in the Series are listed below. All entry forms will be posted on TotaBowling as per usual.

26/27th June - John McKenna - Rockhampton​

24/25th July - Brian Bates - Caboolture​

21/22nd August -Morty Douglas - Kingaroy​

25/26th Sept. - Andrew Carswell - Gladstone​

27/28th Nov. - John Griffin - Suncity Bowl​

Also, please note that due to Toowoomba's cancellation bowlers will be required to bowl in 7 of the 8 events now to be eligible for end of year prizes.

Does anyone know if the end of year prizes are going ahead?

I'm sure there will still be prizes maybe not as many as was hoped for, as we have lost one tourny and have not filled every tournament like last year.
Also your lowest finish from one tournament still should be droped.
If Peter could confim this that would be great.

I don't believe any points were dropped last year, points counted from all events you bowled in. You only had to bowl in 7 of the 8 to be eligible.

#2 says that you will take your best 8 of 9 results. I believe with Toowoomba not going ahead, that the wide bay group has decided that it will now be ........... your best 7 from 8 results and 7+ showings to get a prize at the end of the year.
