What a 'shot-in-the-arm' for the Industry in this Country.
Not only a fine ambassador but what the sport of bowling has been sorely lacking - a HERO. Well done to all on orchestrating this great media blitz ....but then you have such a marketable talent with which to work!
Congratulations Jase on a series of magnificent achievements - you do World bowling proud!

Thank you for this endorsement Roy – I agree entirely that Jason’s hero status is a great asset for both the industry, and the sport of bowling. The dynamic combination of his unorthodox technique, magnetic personality and sheer skill with a bowling ball makes Belmo a delight to promote.

I’m pleased to advise that in addition to the extensive media coverage earlier this week and the Channel 9 segment that will air around 7.20 tomorrow morning on the TODAY show, there are several other media appearances scheduled before Belmo flies across to the US to compete in the PBA Summer Series next week.

These include press, radio and TV interviews in Orange/Central West NSW, an interview on ABC News Radio in tomorrow’s Drive program, a segment on 2UE’s “George and Paul” program on Sunday, a feature segment on Sky Sports and a live, in-studio appearance on Fox Sports NEWS & VIEWS show at 9pm on Monday, 8 June.

The Triple J team want to keep in touch with him on his travels following a sensational interview with their Breakfast team on Wednesday morning, and we’re also working on another exciting project with Channel 7 – more news as details are finalised J

Weekly newspaper stories are currently in print, along with further articles in international bowling newsletters, magazines and websites.

The impact of Jason’s outstanding success and the media ‘blitz’ you’ve described has been tremendous and I hope this will inspire the sport and industry to combine their energies and resources to maintain and develop this momentum.

Cheers,
Lynne

Did i miss it???? Have been tuned in since 6.55am and has been no mention of Belmo...:confused::confused:

Am i watching the wrong channel 9...:D:D

I've tried ringing the presenter and editor of the segment, so far to no avail, but almost certainly the very sad news of Chris O'Brien's passing has meant the rescheduling of the Belmo/bowling segment.

I'll post further details as soon as we have further info.

Fortunately, the bowling segment isn't time-sensitive, so good likelihood that it will be rescheduled rather than ditched altogether.

Sorry so many were disappointed after being up bright and early - will keep you posted once we know more.

cheers

Right, Nine's TODAY show producers have confirmed the Belmo/Bowling segment rescheduled for Monday ... won't know timing till later today but I'll advise asap.

cheers

How good is this. Bowling is finally getting the publicity it has long overdue deserved in this country and I hope this is the start of a boom time for the sport.

Do I hear celebrity bowling show!

Phew. I woke up disappointed that I had missed the segment. Wouldn't it be great to see the sport enjoy the popularity it did the 70s and 80s?

I would like to say what a great effort Lynne is putting in to our sport.Well done and keep up the good work.By the way, thanks for Belmo for being just Belmo. What a great ambassador for our sport.
Cheers Lovey
