World Champion tenpin bowler Jason Belmonte will make a guest appearance live on SUNDAY (31 JANUARY) during Fox Sports News 9am bulletin, having joined the legends of the sport by being named PBA Player of the Year for the third consecutive year.
Belmonte will head straight to the airport from the Fox Sports News studio in Sydney to fly to the United States to compete in the 2016 edition of PBA’s signature championship being held in Shawnee, Oklahoma from 1-7 February. As two-time defending FireLake PBA Tournament of Champions winner, he will be aiming for a hat-trick and another career milestone that will add to what is already one of the best runs in PBA Majors history.
Since making an immediate impact on the sport with his revolutionary two-handed style and earning PBA Rookie of the Year honours in 2009, Belmonte has demonstrated his dominance in two of PBA’s major tournaments, winning a record three straight USBC Masters titles in addition to back-to-back TOCs.
