Well our league has finally finished after a marathon 45 weeks. Team Bin-Fubar (after an appalling run of no-shows, all due to injury or work) finished a credible second. We had our wind up “do” at the infamous Mirrabooka Tavern on Saturday Night.
Due to a large oversight by spectacled “Fubar Wimpy” (Cranium Sparsus) who thought that when filling out the Cash or Trophy sheet, that it would be a majority vote. As most bowlers had already opted for cash, Fubar Wimpy thought that he would be smart and nominate our team for trophies. Smart move, we were the only team in the illustrious Pin League to receive trophies. Second place trophies at that.
Mind you, with all said and done this was a very profitable season.
Our rough calculations place our total prize winnings at over $8,000. Not bad for a non-contract league that pays $1.45 per week into the prize fund.
As to the naming of this thread, we have placed two previous threads called “Kching” and “Kching 2” based on the noise of the till opening. "Kchunk" the noise made of two second placed trophies hitting Fubar Wimpy.
