Entries are now being accepted for the 2009 Junior Beef City Classic. This event forms part of Queensland Junior Wide Bay Circuit however you are more then welcome to bowl in this event even if you have not bowled in other Wide Bay Events ~ the more the merrier. Juniors from North Queensland are also more then welcome & given the 'central' location, it would be great if we did get some from North & South.
Entry form is attached.
The event has both a scratch & handicap division (your entry fee automatically covers both). Prize fund is based on 36 entries with Handicap division paying down to 12th and scratch division paying top 3 (you can't double cash). Payout is 2.4:1 which is very good.

Check in 9am, commence bowling @ 9:30am
Handicap Div 90% of 200 (max 100)
Lanes washed and oiled prior to commencement of play. And yes the synthetics do play alot better then the old timber lanes :surrender:
Entries can be accepted by leaving your name on this thread. To secure your spot you will need to pay a $20 deposit (contact the bowl to pay by credit card or send completed entry form to bowl with deposit) and bowlers that pay a deposit get put ahead of those that have not.
There is also a Youth event on the Saturday and (if eligible) you are more then welcome to bowl both events over the weekend. Please refer to the seperate thread for the Youth event.
ACCOMODATION
If you are looking for accomodation recommendations, please PM me, however there are a good number of motels in Rockhampton in close proximity to the bowl. Everything from cabins, to typical motels to apartment accomodation....
FLIGHTS
All 3 airlines fly from Brisbane to Rockhampton daily. Flights are currently available for under $100 each way. Don't forgetr to keep an eye out for super specials that pop up fdrom time to time...
If you are worried about excess luggage and want to send some gear up prior we can arrange storage of your gear if necessary. Those driving/car pooling will obviously not have this problem.
