Once again CONGRATULATIONS to Peter Stevanovic on his win at Ipswich - Chris Wingett, Mitchell Bird and Daniel Lester took out the next three placings - a trio of up and coming young bowlers. Luckily, we had Peter Mifsud, Alan McKay, Vic Wilkins (who kept his $100 for 300 game in his pocket), Bob Hardie and David Flewellen to keep the flag flying for a mixture of youth, middle and 'oldie' bowlers.
Adrian Shelton topped the Scratch Division ahead of Chris. Wingett and Nathan Fosbeary - however, Chris did not enter the Scratch Pool (21 bowlers for a $420 pool) and was kicking himself.
Local 'lasses' Phil Hurst and Maree Hobbs (tie for 2nd with Shirley Robinson) cashed in on a home town advantage to take the $$$ in the Puffs H'cp div.
Hopefully, Maree will now be confident enough to join those in the Assoc. Challenge for Ipswich. Nanna Qually collected in 4th, much to her delight.
Tanya Stevenson headed Alicia Melton and Bek Meads who all bowled over the card for the Puffs.
With the final Tour Stop for 2008 at Caboolture way ahead on Nov. 8th/9th, the points race is hotting up - those who have bowled 6 Tour Stops now have their worst result dropped so it all comes down to the finish line at Caboolture. For points and averages, visit
www.twintour.com.au - updates should be available from tomorrow - thanks AC !
Once again, we need to thank Dino and Darren at Ipswich Superbowl for supporting the Tour and bowling in general - visit the State Tournament forum on Total Bowling for information on the upcoming Ipswich Cup to be held on 21st Sept. and is a handicap event.
Thanks to all the bowlers who ENJOY and to the Team.
