I'm getting into Bowling

D

Dylan

Hi,
I'm new to here and to bowling.
I live in Australia and am thinking about joining a league... Do you know of any kids leagues(I'm 12)? Any good sites?

Thanks,

Dylan

Hi Dylan, I gather you are from Melb. Just go to your closest Bowling centre in your area. Most bowling centres have Junior leagues happening on the weekends. Just ask the control staff, they should be able to help you.All the best and I hope you enjoy your new chosen sport of Tenpin Bowling.
Steve Lovell

Most AMF centres down here in victoria have junior leagues that start at 4.30 i think and u bowl 2 games. Their will also be junior leagues where u bowl 3 games but yeah u would have to go to your closest centre for info

Dylan,

Welcome to the sport and the site mate. Steve has given you some great advice.

If this is your first taste of the game, then a reply from Steve Lovell an Australian bowling legend of the Sport, i would print this reply up, ask him to sign it then sit it high on your mantle piece.

If you then become something of the sport this will be something you reflect on i am sure.

Who is Steve Lovell??? :p

Dylan you will love the sport of tenpin bowling.....hope to see you on the lanes one day in the future.

Jason Belmonte

Hi monkeyman,
I live in Kilsyth what about you?

Thanks alot for the help everyone....

hey dylan

well u bowl 2 games once week in a 4 person team. Everyone else in the league would be under 18. You bowl a season which is over how many weeks the league president decides and at the end of the season the team on top is the winner and u get trophy's and sometimes money.
Also cause ur from kilsyth the closest lane to you is Ed Fleming Lanes which is in Mooroolbark. They have a great junior program running down there. But Ed Fleming Lanes is not AMF it is independent. I actually bowl at Ed Fleming Lanes and they are really awesome lanes and have friendly staff
If you want to know more just give Ed Fleming Lanes a buzz they will help you choose the right league.

Hi Dylan,
Ed Fleming Lanes will be your best bet mate. So many chicks to check out ;) lol
Ps Belmo worth every cent @putting as a mantle piece :p
Regards
Alex :D

Hi,
Thanks for the reply,
What is the "great junior league"? Do you bowl in Mooroolbark? Is that what you're saying?

Thanks,

Dylan

What are you all gonna do if Dylan doesn't have a mantel piece?

; )

I bowl at Mooroolbark on a Wednesday in the Youth Singles League, but if your just starting to bowl your better to go for a junior league that has people like you who are just starting to bowl in it.
If you give Ed Fleming Lanes a call they will help you choose the right league.
