Got a friend who is just starting out, and he has ordered a brunswick vis-a-ball (one of those novelty ones) when he told me how much he paid I nearly choked, what should he have paid for it? $300 and it was ordered back in march, he is only just about to receive it.

I know that you can get them off an american website bowlersparadise.com and they range from around $130 to $65 Us dollars which works out at about $166 to $115 Aus dollars. So i would say he has payed too much.

You need to add on shipping plus any customs/tax that you might get slapped. Then the local proshops markup (which is why I asked if it was purchased locally through a proshop or direct from the US). So - yes it seems high - but could be right. Maybe some of the proshops could comment on this.

For that kind of service your friend paid way too much. As Graham has suggested, there is shipping & in business cases, GST and maybe duty to be paid. However, we FLY them in to Australia, 7 to 9 day delivery and the price is only $250.00. Food for thought for the next person...........
