Queenslander Brendan Heathwood and Jarrod Lean from New South Wales have just completed a high scoring game 1 of the Mens Matchplay in the 2004 NSW Open.
Heathwood started with the front 11 strikes then left a 10 pin to finish with 299, whilst his unlucky opponent in the first round Jarrod Lean, spared then strung together 9 strikes then a 9 spare for a 279 game.
The mens matchplay finalists will play a totalof 15 games of head to head today to decide the 2004 NSW Open champion. The Women will start at approx 11am this morning.
