HAMMER has released the start of their new season bowling balls and have created a system easy to understand for both the ProShop Operator and the Bowler
here is an extract from Hammer regarding the new System
"""For years, Hammer has had a progression of cover stocks for their performance products with names like “Max Flip Reactive” and “Shredder Reactive”. These are excellent names, but they really do not give the player or the pro shop operator a measurement of the relative strength of each cover. In addition, Hammer has had a progression of cores over the years to include such famous cores as the “Gas Mask Core” as used in the Black Widow. And the “Contrusion Core” as used in the Sauce. And, our factory and R & D people have started to do interesting things with surface finishing of balls that have a profound effect on performance.
Hammer was looking for a ball rating system. The challenge was to develop a system that is both easy to understand and relevant to the actual performance characteristics of a particular ball. I think that this has succeeded with the new Hammer F.C.C. system for determining the hook potential of a ball base on a three part rating system.
F = Finish C = Cover C = Core
The total scale equals 30. Add the components of performance together, compare them to the performance scale of 30, and both Bowlers and Pro Shop Operators have a pretty good idea of the expected performance of a particular Hammer ball.""""
Proshops- On request I can post you a laminated A4 with full details to place on your window
This year HAMMER are introducing their lower level balls first.
Hammer has finally
*a ball to replace the TUFF
**a ball to fit in between the Razyr and the Vibe
These balls arrive in Australia early May so be quick to place your orders
*THE AXE
Straight polyester in a steel sparkle color with a 3-piece pancake design.
F=2 Cover = 1 Core= 1 = 4 rating
Available in weights 10lb -16lb
**BACKLASH RED/PURPLE
Hammer’s answer for the driest of lane conditions.
By combining our Max-Length Reactive Coverstock, previously used on the Cherry Vibe, with our new Saucer core, we’ve designed a ball specifically for dry lanes that gives great performance with drilling versatility.
F=2 Cover = 3 Core= 2 = 7 rating
Available in weights 10lb -16lb
**BACKLASH BLUE/SILVER
is going to really match up well on medium-dry to dry lane conditions for several different types of players. With the combination of the new Saucer Core and Hammer’s Max-Control Reactive coverstock, the Backlash Blue/Silver will give the bowler plenty of length with just enough hook, and superior control at the breakpoint.
F=5 Cover = 2 Core= 2 = 9 rating
Available in weights 10lb -16lb
MIDNIGHT VIBE
With Hammer’s Shredder Pearl Reactive cover and our proven Vibe core, Midnight Vibe is extremely long through the front of the lane, and angular off of the dry spots
F=1 Cover = 6 Core= 3 = 10 rating
Available in weights 10lb -16lb
