About the Presenters

Peter Somoff – Vice President International Sales (Africa, Australia, Europe, Middle East) Storm Products Inc.

Peter has been drilling bowling balls since 1977 and has worked in pro shops from 1977 until 1981. In 1983 until 2005 he owned and operated a chain of thirteen Somoff Prop Shops throughout America which had an annual turnover of 1.9 million per year.

Peter has also participated on the PBA tour for fifteen (15) years and has been a columnist for Bowlers Journal “the Bowlers Bible” for eight (8) years.

During his bowling career Peter has notched up sixteen (16) 300 games; five on the PBA Tour, ten in league competition and one at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno during the ABC Tournament. Oh, and here is something really impressive, only one of the sixteen 300 games was with a reactive bowling ball!

Peter is co-founder of Storm Products and has assisted in designing Storm bowling balls from 1991 through to 1996.

With his wealth of experience as a bowler, ball driller, pro shop operator and designer of bowling balls, you definitely want to make sure you take full advantage of the workshops that are on offer and utilize Peter’s expertise to your full advantage.

James McGinty - Storm Bowling Products Australia

James resides in Coffs Harbour (when he is home) and is a bowling centre proprietor and avid bowler.

He is the current Australian Boy’s Youth Team Coach which won gold in the team’s event at the 2006 World Championships in Germany.

James has a sound knowledge and expertise of lane conditions and being able to make the appropriate surface adjustments to bowling balls to counteract the varying and trying lane conditions that we come across in Australia.

James is actively involved in TBA and has an immense passion for the sport of tenpin bowling.

See you all there

hey all, you will be a fool if you miss it, I was at Southgate tonight and Peter was very informative, he spent 15-20 with each bowler, saw what was wrong if anything and gave good advise.

Might even invest in the ball he sujested for me.

good work Jason, keep all the information coming.

Well, what a turnout we had! Lots of people (I lost count!) getting lots of good advice. Big thanks to Peter Somoff, James McGinty & Cameron Morris for their efforts in putting this together. I'm looking forward to the next one. I learned a great deal and am still jotting down notes tonight!

Thanks to Brett Smith and AMF Tuggeranong for supporting this event. There was a lot of love in the room by the end of it all! :)

Cheers,
Jason
