As Malaysia celebrates its 50th anniversary of nationhood, invitations are being widely circulated throughout Asia for the 35th Penang PESTA International Bowling Championship, to be held on the beautiful island of Penang from 22-28 December 2007.
As part of the Pesta Pulau Pinang celebrations, the State Sports Council and Penang’s Tourism Action Council have combined to support the tournament organisers in staging this prestigious Championship that last year attracted more than 250 local and international bowlers.
The 50-lane Mega Lanes venue has previously hosted the 2001 SEA Games and the 6th Asian Schools Championships, and the President and Executive Committee of the Penang Association (Persatuan Tenpin Bowling Pulau Pinang), anticipate a record number of bowlers to participate in this year’s event.
