Expressions of Interest for Level 2 Coaching Course

Expressions of interest are being sought for inclusion into a Level 2 Coaching Course to be held in the ACT at AMF Tuggeranong from Friday 16th November until Wednesday 21st November.
The course will not go ahead unless there are 15 attendees.
The cost of the course is $850 and includes resources, lineage, lunch and refreshments only.
Accommodation is at attendee's own expense but some billet accommodation may be available.
Expressions of interest must be in the form of an email to june.voukolos@tenpin.org.au to be received no later than 1st September 2007 so that a confirmation of the course with adequate numbers can be made.
Those who have indicated their attendance already need not re-apply.

We now have 10 people wanting to do this course and there is room for others to attend, the maximum attendees can be 20. Any Succession Plan coaches are welcome. A succession plan coach is a former or current elite athlete who has attended a previous development or selection camp or has been a member of the national team or top 20 of national rankings. Any person who fills this criteria can apply for Rcc for Level One and attend this course. Succession Plan coaches need to attend from Saturday until Wednesday.

Unfortunately the course advertised for ACT in November has now been postponed until March 2008, with a date to be advised. The course will be held in Sydney, venue and other details will be confirmed shortly. This course can then be run with 10-12 applicants and will allow more time for Succession Plan coaches to complete Level One requirements.

For those persons that are unable to make the March course in Canberra - Qld will also be holding a course in November 2008. This may suit those who have just completed their level 1 course and are unable to fit the prerequisite time lines of eligibility.

To register an expression of interest please contact Gail Torrens gail@tbaq.org.au for the November 2008 course or JUne Voukolos for the March ACT Course.

Are there any dates yet for the Level 2 Course set for March .
Thanks, Leanne Triulcio.

Are there any dates for the next TBA run Level 2 Coaching Course? I gather the last information for March is no longer being discussed.

Has NSW Branch any dates set for Level One or Level Two Courses?

Leanne.

Leanne,
No course can be advertised until National Coaching and Officiating Programs have been discussed with CEO of TBA. I have been advised by John Coxon to put everything on hold until the CEO has had a chance to review all operational aspects of TBA. I will be meeting with Gillian next week and after that some announcements can be made. As you may appreciate there were many items put forward from the Coaching and Officiating Conference held in October and these are also on hold at this time. However, the postponed ACT course has been put forward to be held in Sydney as we have a large number of applicants and Succession Plan athletes ready to participate in this pathway.

Please note - TBA will have a Level 2 Course running on the 15th November through to the 22nd inclusive 2008 in Brisbane - please forward an expression of interest to those persons wishing to nominate. TBAQ will be running this course with the permission of the CEO of TBA.
The cost of the course will be determined once we have final numbers. More numbers enlisting will keep costs down. If you would like to be billeted for accommodation this can be arranged for you. Please email gail@tbaq.org.au if you are interested.

Persons attending the 2005 course in Brisbane had a wonderful time. We used the gym facilities at the PCYC next door to sports house - we used the biomechanics lab at the University of Qld, we used specialist presenters from UQ and Sports Medicine Australia - we tested athletes on the Cybex machine and other specialist TBA presenters were used to facilitate other unique to our sport modules. Video analysis will also be incorporated into this course with facilities at the State office which can be used by all coaches. I encourage all who love the sport to enroll. No extreme late nights other than networking with other coaches and having fun while learning.
