OK, while arriving to do my weekly 10-pin ordeal. I accidently dropped my ball on the concrete car park.

I'm just concerned, even though there wasn't any visual damage. Is there apossibility that i could've damaged the inside? And will that come back and haunt me later (crack open)

:confused::confused:

From how high did you drop it?

Don't forget while playing, the ball hits the pins and the back pretty damn hard, so it should be alright.

balls fall off racks, returns, and are just dropped by people all the time onto hard (usually concrete) surfaces. So no, unless you caught it on a point (say from a hole), you will generally be fine. If the coverstock didnt crack, the core will probably be pretty safe, they are pretty tough and will take a beating. You just cant bounce them down the street like a basketball thats all (and belive me, they do bounce well!).

The only thing you may have done is popped the core. You can tell if you have done this by tapping the ball gently on the ground. If you here a hollow type noise (like a pop) there is a good chance you have popped th core and your ball is dead. Not to mention your ball will hit like sh*t from now on.

Don't be too concerned though, there is only about a 10% you have done this.

Do you speak from experience George? Hopefully it wasn't done by sheer frustration! :p

@ rpac23: I dropped it of the back of a ute... so its about 4ft...
I havent bowled with it yet... soon find out if its a expensive plastic ball or ok..
(could be an excuse to get a new ball :p )
