Ebonite Ebonite balls cracking

well for me it sucks as last wednesday night during league i threw my old big time sanded down the lane and made a solid strike only to find out that it came back with a nice crack from the ring finger through the pin and about an inch after that it is my first ball to crack and now is just an old trophy
was a great ball to use
anyother brands cracking like that or worse
